Minnesota Hotdish Burger

Ingredients –
Yields 2-3 burgers

Cream of Mushroom soup w/Wild rice –

  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 white onion (diced)
  • 1 8 oz container of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup of half and half
  • 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch
  • 1/3 cup wild rice

Hashbrowns

  • 2-3 potatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil (enough to cover hashbrown patty to fry)

1 lb of venison burger
2-3 buns
mayonnaise for bun
1 brick of sharp cheddar cheese
